I read the Wikipedia entry for love today.
It was too cold, calculated, and plain.
Everything love shouldn’t be, couldn’t be.
Thought that was pretty simple to see.
So here’s what Wiki won’t tell you.
Extract the truth and send it through.
Love grows like a tree
All that’s required is a seed.
It’ll extend roots in to the soul.
Could tear them out, but you’re left with a hole.
Can try to fill it with things you don’t need.
When really all it requires is a seed.
I edited the wikipedia entry for love today,
To finally put their science at bay,
Instead I put the picture of a tree.
That used to be just a tiny seed.
As I waited I hoped they’d let it be,
But now it’s back to practicality.

true story as it turns out, I was bored and was looking to the internet to tell me if I'd ever fall head-over-heels-never-live-without-that-person-again in love and how to recognize it when it comes along. So of course I head over to Wikipedia "Where all life's mysteries have answers." And let me tell you... it was so depressing. Like it was Explaining a phenomenon the world actually believed, you know like the easter bunny or Santa claus. I was so depressed I wrote my own little poem to cheer me up. and here it is!!!! more rhyme-y-er than usual but hey rhymes are good. No? |

I saw a commercial that said, "Forget everything you know about slipcovers!" ... So I did. And it was a load off my mind. Then the commercial tried to sell me slipcovers, but I didn't know what the hell they were.
